Product Feature and Application
Tool holder management is what this cart is built around. The top and middle red racks are sized for BT40 or HSK63 shanks. The slots are laser-cut and fitted with rubber inserts. The rubber cradles the taper as a machinist slides in a heavy holder, so it doesn't slam into the steel. A chipped taper can knock the tool out of tolerance and wear the spindle bearing early.
Side pegboards hold wrenches, pull studs, and collets, while a bottom tray takes bulky spare parts. The push handle is welded at an ergonomic angle, so you can steer the cart between machining centers with one hand. The four heavy-duty casters-two with brakes-matter here: when the cart is fully loaded with 20+ tool holders, the center of gravity is high. A cheap caster that wobbles can tip the cart on a chip-covered concrete floor. Ours lock firmly and roll smoothly over minor debris.
Production Details
One real manufacturing headache with CNC tool carts is welding distortion in the holder rack. If the horizontal rack is off by even 1 mm during welding, the tool holders won't sit flush, and the taper will rub against the metal edge. We use a laser-guided welding jig to keep the rack level, and we check holder insertion depth on every unit before it leaves the line.
Powder coating is another critical issue. Machine shops use water-soluble and oil-based cutting fluids that splash everywhere. Without a proper zinc-phosphating base, coolant can seep under the paint and cause rust within six months. We run a full multi-stage phosphating wash before the powder spray to keep the finish intact in a wet machining environment.
Product Qualification
We don't just test empty carts. We load the rack with 25kg of steel tool holders, push the cart over a simulated chip-covered floor for 10,000 cycles, and check for caster fatigue, rack deformation, and tool holder looseness. The powder coating undergoes a 500-hour salt spray test and a coolant resistance test. For sea freight, the flat-packed panels are protected by high-density EPE foam in 5-layer corrugated cartons, and the packages are drop-tested from 80cm to ensure the steel edges arrive perfectly straight.
Deliver, Shipping and Serving
We flat-pack the panels, racks, and casters into a compact carton, which cuts ocean freight volume by half. A 40HQ container holds roughly 500 units. On site, a maintenance worker can assemble the cart in about 15 minutes with the included hardware kit.
For machining centers running multiple shifts, we offer optional keyed-alike lock systems so the shift supervisor can secure high-value holders overnight. Custom RAL colors-including your machine brand's specific blue or gray-and OEM logo printing on the top surface are available. Every bulk order includes a 1.5% spare parts kit: rubber holder inserts, caster wheels, and pegboard hooks.
