Product Introduction

If you've ever set up a maintenance bay in an industrial workshop, you know the aisle space is tight but the tool sets are not. Standard 500–600 mm tool cabinets fill up fast, and long wrench sets, socket rails, and diagnostic kits end up stacked on top or stuffed into deep drawers where nobody can find them. That's exactly why we engineered this JY-WC22 wide-cabinet tool cart. The standard footprint is H1050 x W930 x D460 mm, with a usable drawer width of approximately 820 mm. It is built from high-quality cold-rolled steel, available in 0.8 mm to 1.2 mm thickness depending on the load profile. The surface uses an eco-friendly matte powder coating that resists moisture, coolant, and common workshop chemicals. It ships in a modular knocked-down structure to save on ocean freight.

Product Feature and Application

The wide-cabinet layout is the core feature here. Instead of forcing every tool into a narrow drawer, the JY-WC22 gives you full-width drawers that can hold long pry bars, torque wrench sets, large socket trays, and complete diagnostic kits without mixing them together. The drawer configuration is customizable: you can choose 4, 5, 6, or 7 drawers, with a mix of full-width and divided drawers, plus an internal adjustable shelf in the lower compartment.

The mobility system uses four heavy-duty casters, and the front two are fitted with foot brakes. In a repair bay, the concrete floor is often cracked or slightly sloped. Once you press the brake, the cart is locked in place-it won't roll away when you pull out a fully loaded wide drawer.

Because wide drawers create a larger leverage load, we fit every drawer with three-section ball-bearing slides and a full-extension design. But here's the real problem with wide cabinets: when a 100 kg drawer is pulled fully open, the cabinet can flex and the drawer can sag at the front. We solve this with a reinforced drawer bottom channel and a welded cross-brace in the cabinet frame. The central key lock secures all drawers and the main compartment simultaneously. An anti-tip interlock allows only one drawer to open at a time, which is critical when the cart is used by multiple technicians.

Typical applications include industrial maintenance workshops, automotive and aviation repair bays, fitter training rooms, and warehouse assembly cells where a mobile "tool library" needs to stay organized.

Production Details

Here is the real manufacturing headache with wide-cabinet tool carts: drawer torsion and caster mounting plate reinforcement. When a fully loaded 1.2 mm steel cabinet rolls over a rough concrete threshold, the leverage on the caster stems is massive. If the factory uses a standard 0.6 mm base plate, the caster will eventually rip through the metal. We weld a 2.0 mm reinforced steel plate specifically into the caster mounting points.

Another issue is drawer alignment during transport. Because the cabinet is shipped knocked-down, if the chassis panels are slightly bent during shipping, the wide drawer slides won't line up and the drawers will bind. Our production line uses laser-guided welding jigs to keep the frame perfectly square, and we package the flat panels with high-density corner foam to prevent deformation. For the wide drawers, we also check the diagonal squareness of each drawer box before packing.

Product Qualification

We don't just test empty drawers. We load each wide drawer with 100 kg of solid steel weights and cycle the slides 10,000 times to check for rail fatigue, drawer sag, and interlock wear. The powder coating undergoes a 500-hour salt spray test and a chemical resistance test to guarantee it won't rust or peel in coolant-heavy environments. For sea freight, the flat-packed cartons are drop-tested from 80 cm to ensure the steel edges and caster mounting plates arrive straight.

Deliver, Shipping and Serving

We flat-pack the panels, drawers, and casters into a compact carton, cutting your ocean freight volume by roughly half compared with fully assembled cabinets. A 40HQ container loads approximately 280–320 units depending on drawer configuration. On-site, two workers can assemble the cabinet in about 25–30 minutes using the included hardware kit.

For industrial distributors and multi-bay repair shops, we supply keyed-alike lock systems so the shop manager can use one master key to open every cart in the facility. We support custom RAL colors and OEM logo printing on the top surface. A 1.5% spare parts kit (caster wheels, lock cylinders, slide clips, and drawer bumpers) is included in every bulk order.

FAQ

Q: Can the wide cabinet fit through narrow workshop aisles?
A: The standard width is 930 mm. We recommend measuring your narrowest aisle and turning radius before ordering. For tighter spaces, we can supply a 718 mm wide version with the same drawer layout.

Q: What is the load capacity per drawer?
A: The standard three-section slides are rated for 80 kg per drawer. For heavy bearing or hydraulic parts, we recommend the reinforced slide option rated at 100 kg per drawer.

Q: How does the anti-tip interlock work?
A: The interlock mechanism prevents a second drawer from opening while one drawer is already open. This keeps the center of gravity stable when a fully loaded wide drawer is extended.
