Most glass-door cabinets look fine in a catalog. The problems show up later on a workshop floor: glass that rattles, doors that stop lining up, or a pegboard that flexes under the weight of real tools. The JY-SC24 is our answer to those problems.

It is a double glass door steel storage cabinet for workshops, labs, and maintenance areas where people need to see what is inside without opening every door. The standard footprint is H1800 × W900 × D400 mm, with a full-width pegboard back panel inside.

We build it from cold-rolled steel in 0.6 mm to 1.0 mm thickness, depending on load requirements. The surface uses a matte powder coating formulated for humid, oily, and scratch-prone working environments. The cabinet ships knocked down to reduce ocean freight volume, and standard colors include black, orange, blue, and light grey.

The design idea is simple: visibility plus vertical storage. Tempered glass panels in both doors let staff check inventory at a glance. Inside, the steel pegboard on the back wall holds screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and small parts bins, while the adjustable shelves below take bulkier items.

The door frame is reinforced with a steel channel, and the hinges are selected to carry the glass door weight without sagging over time. A three-point locking system-top, bottom, and center-with a central key lock keeps expensive tools or sensitive documents secure.

Production Details

Glass door steel cabinets usually fail in two places: glass mounting and door alignment. Glass is heavy and fragile. If it is riveted directly to a thin steel frame, it can rattle and eventually crack when the door is slammed. We use a high-density EVA rubber gasket around the full inner frame of the door to cushion the glass and reduce vibration.

The internal pegboard is the second risk point. If it is not properly supported, it can flex and tear under heavy hanging tools. We weld a reinforced internal frame behind the pegboard to spread the load. Because the cabinet ships knocked down, chassis panels that arrive slightly bent can stop the doors from closing correctly. Our line uses laser-guided welding jigs to keep the frame square, and glass doors are packed in separate custom high-density foam cartons to reduce transit breakage.

Product Qualification

We do not test empty cabinets. Our internal test protocol includes loading the adjustable shelves with 80 kg of solid steel weights and cycling the doors 10,000 times to check hinge fatigue and frame twisting. Glass panels undergo a drop-ball impact test. The powder coating is tested with a 500-hour salt spray test for humid workshop conditions. For sea freight, flat-packed cartons are drop-tested from 80 cm to check steel edges and glass corners.

We flat-pack panels, glass doors, shelves, and pegboard into compact cartons, cutting ocean freight volume by about half. A 40HQ container loads roughly 350 units. On site, two workers can assemble the cabinet in about 20 minutes with the included hardware kit and a screwdriver.

For distributors and multi-bay facilities, we supply keyed-alike lock systems so one master key can open every cabinet in the building. We support custom RAL colors and OEM logo printing on the top surface. Every bulk order includes a 1.5% spare parts kit: hinges, lock cylinders, glass gaskets, and pegboard hooks.
