When procurement officers are outfitting a 500-person staff dormitory or a temporary housing facility, they can't afford beds that squeak or collapse. That's why we designed this JY-BB02 double-decker bunk bed. We use thickened, heavy-duty round steel tubing for the main frame. Unlike square tubes that can twist under heavy loads, round tubes distribute the stress more evenly. The system ships in a simple knock-down structure, requiring only basic tools for site assembly.

Product Feature and Application

Look at the side ladder design. We intentionally angled it slightly outward and integrated it into the side frame. Why? Because straight vertical ladders on bunk beds are a knee-breaker for the bottom sleeper, and they take up too much floor space. This angled design keeps access slip-resistant and prevents stubbed toes.

Both the upper and lower bunks have raised safety guardrails. For the sleeping surface, we use solid multi-layer plywood panels, not cheap particleboard. Particleboard snaps under heavy weight and swells up in humidity. The plywood we use is dense, void-free, and breathable, which keeps mattresses from getting moldy on the bottom. The entire metal frame is treated with an electrostatic powder coating, making it chip-proof and rust-resistant even in harsh site conditions.

Production Details

Here is a real manufacturing headache with round steel tubes: bending them without warping. If the steel tube isn't heated and bent evenly, the wall thickness will thin out on one side, creating a weak spot that cracks under load. Our production line uses CNC tube bending machines with internal mandrels to keep the tube walls perfectly uniform.

Another issue is welding. We use robotic welding to connect the bed rails to the vertical posts. After welding, any weld spatter is ground down smooth so it doesn't snag clothing or cut the installers' hands. Every bolt hole is punched with a tolerance of under 0.5mm to ensure the frames align perfectly without forcing the screws.

Product Qualification

We don't just test static weight. We put a 150kg dead weight on the upper bunk and run a dynamic sway test to simulate a person tossing and turning. The frame must show zero permanent deformation, and all bolts must remain tight. For the powder coating, we run a 96-hour salt spray test to ensure the finish won't blister in coastal or humid environments.

Deliver, Shipping and Serving

Shipping fully assembled beds is a logistical disaster. We flat-pack everything into reinforced 5-layer corrugated cartons. A 40HQ container can load roughly 350 sets, drastically lowering your ocean freight cost per unit.

Because this is for bulk group housing, we include a 2% spare parts ratio (bolts, nuts, and end caps) in the container. You don't want your installation crew idling on site because a single bolt was lost in transit. We also provide a full set of accessories and a visual assembly manual. For project orders, we can customize the powder coating color to match your facility's branding.
